I made fried rice last night, I only added bacon and egg into my rice because my children are fussy shits and won’t eat it if there is things like carrot in it (even though they eat carrot in every other format, it CANT touch the rice) and don’t even get me started on peas.
Anyway, I added yum yum as per directions. I sat down with the family to eat the meal and the rice was DELICIOUS. The most delicious rice I have ever cooked to be exact. Side note: recently I’ve had gastric sleeve surgery so the volume of food I can consume has drastically decreased. And here is where my problem started.
Because the yum yum rice was SO tasty, I ate, and ate and ate until I started to sweat, and that familiar feeling of over-production of saliva - I was going to vomit.
You see, the rice was so amazing with the addition of yum yum, even with the lack of ingredients due to fussy kids, that I overate without realising, and therefore it made me sick.
So do I recommend yum yum? Yes.
Do I recommend yum yum to fellow gastric sleevers, well - still yes, but a warning to eat slowly and with caution, unless you want to see it again.
